Hi there!
It's coming up to half term week and Surrey's packed with activities for the kids, plus plenty for adults too—and I've put together a small Valentine's guide for those planning something special this week.
Families can enjoy Godstone Farm Discovery Week, Polesdenopoly at Polesden Lacey, Tree Tales at Claremont Landscape Garden, or special activities at Hampton Court Palace. There's also Giant Games at Guildford Museum, Cirque Enchantment, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Exciting Science at the Yvonne Arnaud.
For grown-ups, there's Ross Noble's Cranium of Curiosities comedy tour, Madama Butterfly at the Yvonne Arnaud, The West End Tenors, and even a paranormal investigation at Guildford Castle if you fancy something spooky. Plus the usual markets and vintage sales if you're after some browsing.
Whether you're keeping the kids entertained, planning a Valentine's date night, or just getting out and about, it's a brilliant week across the county.
Have a great week, Charli x
P.S. Got a local event or small business you think I should feature? Just hit reply — I'd love to hear about it.
❤️ The Surrey Insider: Valentine’s Day 2026 Guide
From Michelin-starred romance to quirky local adventures, here is how to spend the most romantic day of the year in Surrey.

🍽️ The Dining Shortlist
Sorrel (Dorking): Steve Drake’s Michelin-starred flagship. For 2026, they are also running an intimate Valentine’s Supper Club at "Sorrel Stores" (3 courses for £50pp) alongside their signature high-end tasting menus in the main restaurant.
The Old Crown (Great Bookham): A refined village choice. Their 2026 Valentine’s special is £55pp for two courses, which includes a glass of Lanson Rosé. Available Feb 9–15.
The Minnow (Weybridge): Riverside dining with a 3-course set menu for £40.95pp.
Insider Tip: The £20 upgrade is great value—it covers an extra side, removes all menu supplements (like steak), and adds a bottle of Moët or Whispering Angel.
Bordelaise (Ewell Village): The ultimate "hidden gem." This rustic French bistro is perfect for steak and wine lovers.
Editor's Note: Their 30% off "Early Bird" deal (Mon–Thu, 5pm–6pm) is a great shout for an early Valentine's week date.
The Arkle Manor (Betchworth): A stylish rural retreat. Their 3-course Valentine’s menu matches The Minnow’s at £39.95pp, also offering the £20 Moët/Whispering Angel upgrade.
Latymer (Bagshot): Pure luxury. The 6-course Michelin tasting menu is currently £175pp.
🧖 Spa & Stay
Nutfield Priory (Redhill): Best value luxury. Their "Couple’s Choice" is £200 for two, including a 55-minute treatment and Champagne.
Pennyhill Park (Bagshot): The county’s premier spa. Overnight "Spa Escapes" for two sharing a room start from £890, but you can often find evening-only passes for a more accessible "night swim" date.
Foxhills (Chertsey): Perfect for a daytime escape. Features a natural, chemical-free outdoor pool and a classic manor house setting.
🎡 The "Something Different" Date
Fire & Ice at Buckland Park Lake: A two-part adventure. Book a 45-minute wood-fired session at Savu Sauna Click to open side panel for more information (£18pp) followed by a cold-water dip with The SHAC Click to open side panel for more information (from £10.25).
Adrenaline at Mercedes-Benz World Click to open side panel for more information : Skip the roses for a track day. 60-minute AMG driving experiences start at £260, or try the 4x4 G-Class off-roading for £175.
Valentine's on Concorde (Brooklands): On Feb 14th, 2026, you can book "Supersonic Luxury" for £99pp. Includes Champagne on board the Concorde followed by a 5-course meal in the clubhouse.
Silent Pool Distillers (Albury): A romantic walk around the legendary blue pool, followed by a distillery tour and tasting of their world-famous gin.
